Within a context of assessment for the consequences of an accident characterized by the rupture of a petroleum product storage tank, the operation of the simulation means enables to simulate the consequences.

Total and brisk loss of confinement (disappearance of the tank).
Partial loss of confinement (rupture of the largest pitting, jet).
Progressive loss of confinement and progressive rise of the tank consequently to an explosion at the top of the tank (free zone between the liquid and the tank top).
Partial loss of confinement via "zip effect"
